Pine Hollow offers riding lessons that focus on the development of fundamental riding skills. We prioritize correct fundamentals such as position, proper aids, and a understanding of how and why horses move, think and preform the way they do.

 

Our goal is to develop riders who are educated, skilled and show kindness to their horses. Our experienced coaches teach safety and technique with emphasis on creating a fun learning environment for all.

 

We offer lessons for beginner, child or adult rider up to the experienced rider who wants to stay active in the sport or compete in the show ring on our quiet, well trained school horses and ponies or on their own horses. We tailor to suit the needs of each rider and their personal goals. Whether it's learning to ride, getting back in the saddle, gaining confidence or competing.

We ask for a 4 month commitment and a 60 days notice to cancel out of the program/ or change riding day.

Please allow a half hour before and after your lesson for brushing, tacking up and down your lesson horse and putting him away. Each Beginner lesson will have assistants provided to help show you how to prepare your horse for the lesson and properly care for the horse after the lesson. The assistants will provide help during your 30 minute lesson.

Lesson Cancelation Policy

Lessons are booked and invoiced in advanced by the month. One make-up is provided per month. Except July and August where there is 1 makeup allowed for both months combined and no makeups given in December.

 

All  made ups must be done before end of the month that it is missed. Please keep in mind riders could be on a different day and horse. Makeups are put into existing lessons where another rider is missing their lesson on an appropriate size mount required for your makeup.

 

Lessons cancelled with less than 8 hours notice as well as cancelled make up lessons are forfeit. Whether it is personal reasons, sickness, or an injury to the rider.  No credit is given for missed lessons.

A NOTE ABOUT MAKE-UP LESSONS

In most sports and activities, if you miss a class, it is simply forfeited and no make-up is offered. At Pinehollow Stables we do our best to help by offering 1 make-up per month(some exceptions as stated above). This is above and beyond standard practices of 1 make-up per session( which is 3 months) or no makeups at all.

When your lessons are booked your spot, instructor, horse, and helpers have been reserved for you. Even if you can't attend those resources have been prepared and scheduled, which is why payment is still required. 

​

And please remember if you return, your previous time and horse may not be available.
